Notice to Racers: Advancement points are calculated from November 1st through October 31st of each year.
Effective 12-31-09: The following riders are advanced per the 2009 AMA Racing Amateur Rulebook, Section E, Paragraph 10. (National Advancement System) with the following clarification that all RPV (Rider Performance Value) advancement values will be 15.0 or higher with the exception of “C” riders that have raced prior to 1-1-08 and have a RPV of 11.0 or higher.

Notice to Racers: Racers who are aware of specific errors in the results reported to AMA Racing, resulting in a mistake in their classification advancement, are encouraged to bring those specific errors to the attention of AMA Racing. In the case of erroneous results, e-mail the following information to mxadvance@ama-cycle.org :
(Appeal to the National Advancement System)
An AMA member reserves the right to appeal their advancement in classification. In doing so the rider must provide a detailed description as to why they should not be advanced along with supporting information.
1Riders who wish to contest to classification may appeal once to the AMA. There will be a minimum 4-member board to review supporting information and there is no second appeal to this classification process. NO less then 2 members on the appeal board will have background in the sport that is being contested.
2 $50.00 fee must accompany all advancement appeals.
You may pay by money order or Credit Card. If you choose to use Credit Card method, you will need to provide a phone number you can be reached at to obtain your credit card information for payment process.
